The primary goal of our Community Groups is to provide a setting for people to grow spiritually and to experience the joy of Christ-centered fellowship. Click the button below to learn more about Community Groups at Black Rock!
Our mission is to create environments where both men and women can connect with others to help them take the next step God intends for them, and take part in a church community that will challenge and encourage them to take their next step spiritually, relationally, and vocationally. For this reason, we work hard to provide chances for people to get plugged in at Black Rock Church. Some of the opportunities we provide our include our Black Rock 101 for those who are new to our church and looking to get involved, and Starting Point, a group that looks at the basics of Christianity, the Bible, and following Jesus.
We are dedicated to helping men grow into high-impact Christ followers through our Spiritual Development process of Worship, Community, Serving and Ownership. We encourage every man at Black Rock to actively engage in their own growth by attending weekly worship services, participating in a Community Group, regularly serving, and taking ownership of their walk with Christ.
We have designed several opportunities for men to be challenged and encouraged in their Christian walk. Some ownership opportunities geared towards men include weekly men’s Bible studies, Saturday morning prayer groups, a weekly golf league, quarterly men’s breakfasts, and an annual men’s retreat.

The highlight of the year for the men of Black Rock is the annual men’s weekend. This year’s retreat will take place from October 23–25 at Camp Spofford, NH. With work schedules becoming increasingly demanding, and family commitments being a top priority, men can have trouble setting aside time to connect to God and to one another. This weekend is a chance to escape from the clamor of our everyday lives, and be able to focus on Christ, and on pursuing Christ-centered community. If you want to be intentional about growing in your faith, this an amazing opportunity that you won't want to miss!
We are dedicated to helping women grow to full maturity in Christ through our Spiritual Development process of Worship, Community, Serving and Ownership.
Every woman at Black Rock Church is encouraged to actively engage in her own growth by attending weekly worship services, participating in a Community Group, regularly serving at Black Rock and taking advantage of our ownership growth opportunities. Click here to join a Community Group.
Some ownership opportunities geared toward women include quarterly connection breakfasts, occasional Bible studies, MOPS and special events such as retreats, seminars, workshops etc. Want to get involved with our women's connections, email for more detailed information and be sure to join The City to be included in communications about upcoming women’s connections.
The mission of Black Rock's Marriage Ministry is to prepare and guide couples through the rigors and challenges of a lifelong commitment to a Christ-centered marriage. We desire for the couples in our church to reflect God’s beautiful design for marriage through all life stages, supporting and encouraging young and old married couples alike, and offering help to marriages that have been struggling and are in desperate need of restoration. We are convinced that there is life after divorce – and we want to help you or your loved ones heal by the power of Christ. The divorce support group at Black Rock provides encouragement, love, and understanding to divorcees, shining Christ's light in an extremely dark time. These groups are led by ministry professionals and those who have been through the brokenness of divorce, and have been healed by Jesus Christ, and we can help you as Jesus makes you whole once again.
